our story.

our founder.
Before the city was known as Havre de Grace, it was Harmer’s Town — land once granted to Godfrey Harmer in 1658, a name that still carries the spirit of transformation and creativity.

Centuries later, that same spirit inspired local philanthropist Allen Fair and artist Ezra Berger to reimagine a forgotten alleyway through art. What began as one mural to cover a cinderblock wall soon evolved into Graw Alley, a thriving mural park celebrating the stories and colors of the community.
As the vision grew, so did the team. A nonprofit organization — Harmer’s Town Art Center, Inc. — was formed to bring the idea to life: a place where artists could create, teach, and showcase their work, and where the community could gather to experience the joy of art together.
